Fredericksburg Wire Classes and Magpie Trunk show! (revised 12-9)

Are You any where near Fredericksburg, Texas? Or will you be, on Friday Dec 12? Drop by J's Kreations at 215 W Main and say howdy! Shop a little and take a class. The first class starts at noon.

Szarka will be bringing her magnificent beads (maybe something from the Private Stash?) and other lovelies for a giant trunk show, and I'll be bending wire all day long.

I'll add more details and schedule in a bit, so bookmark this message and check back often, but here are some teasers -

We'll spend the day in one hour classes making links, all sorts of links. In class, we'll turn them into earrings, (Learn to make your own earwires!) and if you work fast, or later at home, you can make more and fashion them into lovely bracelets, anklets and necklaces. And more earrings!

In the evening, we'll play with either a Toodles Ring or Tree of Life, majority chooses, so sign up and have a voice!

[[[Update 12/3 - the Tree is winning! If you want to learn the Toodles Weave Ring, looks like you'll just have to travel to Pearland maybe, that jury is still out, or Bracken in Feb. The Bracken sched for next quarter is shaping up. Have a preference? Holler!]]

Do YOU have a favorite pick that needs hanging?

Birthstone giftie for my baby sister

Headed for my sister in Nashville! Gorgeous faceted opalite beads, a few bali silver beads and caps, wrapped in miles of sterling silver wire, add a hammered heart for the clasp, providing a place for the lovely opal to hang.

Aztec Treasure

A special piece for a special man.
I've been commissioned to join an Aztec calendar medallion with a beautiful multi-beveled quartz. Ancient civilization to ancient earth. I hope I've done them justice... The camera certainly won't.
The challenge - a simple, masculine piece. No glue, no solder, only wire. At first, I thought silver, but oxidized copper is so much more fitting to the ancient theme.
The back side - the beautifully clear quartz allows the reverse side of the medallion to make it's presence known. Lovely from any angle...

Four inches tall from top of bail to point. What a conversation starter!
Patrick, it's ready.
