Winning entry in a wire work challenge. What a thrill! Miles of copper wire, a vintage turquoise cabochon, a raw ruby, a tiny quartz point from Arkansas. As I was photographing the piece, the top spiral screamed *Princess Leia*, and the theme of the challenge was summer vacation, so... with all that gorgeous blue and all those crashing waves... viola! She named herself.
Experimenting with weaving. A large green agate and a few miles of copper wire turned into a rather interesting pendant. Will I ever learn to see where it's going before it gets there? Prolly not! My wire takes me along for the ride, and won't let me steer.
Herkimers Caged and Linked
Four sparkly Herkimer Diamonds, quartz crystal at it's best. Each naturally faceted specimen is caged in sterling wire, two are suspended on delicate chain for maximum movement. Yes, one is slightly longer than the other, natural herks are all different sizes, but when they are swinging on either side of your lovely smile, no one will guess - keep the secret.
Okay OKok, here's the Tourmaline Delight. Truly, the photo does not capture the sparkle in the stones. Gone to a loving home! But, I have a few more of these beautiful tourmaline beads to be claimed by the muse....
A classic design, a delicious stone. Tiny opal donuts float on sterling waves, while an 8mm boulder opal ball swings between Bali bead caps. I've also done them with emeralds and gorgeous little faceted multi color tourmalines. $45
